Video of cookCal, an iPhone iPod Touch cookery calculator, now online
Just uploaded a demo video of cookCal to YouTube.
The video shows cookCal in operation, and was produced so potential users can see how the App works before buying on the iTunes App Store.
The video shows cookCal being put through its paces, with a demonstration of it calculating the cooking time for a piece of meat when the instructions are of the type “cook for 10 minutes, and then at 20 minutes per pound, and rest for 15 minutes before carving”. Calculations are shown in imperial (pounds (lb) and ounces (oz)) and metric (kilograms, kilo, kg).
Finally, the demonstration finishes by showing calculated start and end times for cooking, and how the inbuilt presets can be used for calculating cooking times for beef (rare, medium, and well done), chicken, duck, goose, lamb (medium rare, medium, and well done), pork and a range of turkey sizes.
